Hiking and X-Country Skiing:
 Just across the valley from the farm is the H.O.Cook State Forest with miles of wide, manicured
unpaved roads, suitable for X-country skiing or for hiking. Catamount State Forest,
an undiscovered gem, is only 10 minutes away. There's a beautiful lake at the top of the mountain.
Or you might enjoy a visit to Northfield Mt Recreation Area - Manicured X-Country skiing, well-developed hiking trails - 35 minute drive. |
Whitewater Rafting/Kayaking:
Penfrydd is a frequent overnight home to those who enjoy the thrill of
whitewater rapids at Zoar Gap in nearby Charlemont, MA. You will need to
book rafting trips well in advance with either outfitter listed below:
